UPDATE (3 p.m.): The Bristol County District Attorney's Office has issued the following statement: Fall River Police, Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office and prosecutors are actively investigating a death, which occurred in The City of Fall River this morning.

Fall River Police responded to 911 calls this morning shortly after 9:35 am regarding a severely injured female lying on an outside walkway at the Waterview Heights condominium complex located at 4700 North Main Street. 

When first responders arrived on scene, they located the victim and rushed her to Rhode Island Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The victim is a 42-year-old woman, with a last known address in Taunton.

The investigation into the unattended death is in its early stages and no further information can be disseminated at this time.

FALL RIVER — Authorities are investigating the death of a woman in Fall River’s North End Tuesday after she reportedly fell from the third-story window of a condominium complex.

The Herald News is reporting that Fall River Police have cordoned off the entrance area to the complex, supposedly where the woman landed. The complex is located at Waterview Heights, 4700 North Main Street.
