One woman has been arrested in connection with a Friday night stabbing in New Bedford.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says that 23-year-old Jasmine Carrasquillo was arrested at her home without incident around 8 a.m. Thursday.

Carrasquillo is accused of stabbing a 29-year-old man following an argument between the victim and an unknown male inside the 7-11 on Cove Rd.

Vicente says it appears that a road rage incident occured between the parties before they entered the store parking lot.

During the course of the argurment Carrasquillo allegedly pulled out a knife while in the store and threatened the victim with it before going outside and deflating the victim's tires by stabbing them with the knife.

The two males continuing arguing outside where Carrasquillo allegedly stabbed the victim in the torso before fleeing the scene.

Carrasquillo was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning in New Bedford District Court on the following charges Assault by means of a dangerous weapon-knife; Assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon-knife; and Malicious destruction of a motor vehicle.
