Fairhaven Cat Feeling Unloved & Scared After Being Surrendered to Shelter [WET NOSE WEDNESDAY]
Wet Nose Wednesday is here again, which means it's all about the animals today. More importantly, it's about the animals up for adoption on the SouthCoast that are patiently waiting for a place to call home.
There are hundreds of eligible animals in our area, and each week, we share their stories thanks to the help of local shelters.
This week, we head to Fairhaven Animal Shelter in Fairhaven where a young cat is waiting to be loved forever.
Meet Spanky. Spanky is one-and-a-half years old and the poor thing is very confused. He was surrendered last week because his older sibling wanted to be an only child.
"He is very scared and can't figure out why he is in a shelter," Fairhaven Animal Shelter said. Stories like these are always hard to share because, at one point this lovely cat had a home but it didn't work out, leaving Spanky lost and confused.
Spanky's sibling may have wanted to be alone, but Spanky is very open to making new friends.
"After our volunteers spend some time with him he opens up and purrs away," the shelter said. "He needs a family that will give him a loving home and let him blossom into the lovebug that we know he is."
Spanky is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. Does he sound like a good fit for you? Visit Fairhaven Animal Shelter and schedule a play date today.
