Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's talk animals.

At Fun 107, it is our mission to unite as many animals as possible with a loving forever home. With the help of local shelters, we share their stories.

This week, we head to New Bedford where an affectionate love bug hopes to steal your heart.

Meet Monty. Monty is a 5-year-old terrier mix currently under the care of Lighthouse Animal Shelter in New Bedford.

Monty thrives on affection. He loves a good cuddle sesh and his happy personality makes him a joy to be around.

Monty came from a home with two other dogs, one male one female. Monty and the other male dog butted heads occasionally, so the shelter recommends that Monty be the only male dog in the house.

Female dogs are more his pace and he enjoys playing with his friends in the shelter's play yard.

"Monty loves a fun game of chase, but his favorite activity is a polite round of tug," said the shelter.

He will need a bit of leash training, but with a little effort, Monty will bring happiness to any home.

"He'll be a fantastic companion for someone looking for a loyal and affectionate best friend," said the shelter.

Does Monty sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Lighthouse Animal Shelter online and schedule a playdate today.

Monty cannot wait to meet you.
