Fall River Dog Needs a Loving Family After She Was Found Neglected in a New Bedford Apartment [WET NOSE WEDNESDAY]
Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Today is for the dogs.
SouthCoast shelters are overflowing and need our help. If you are considering a new pet for your family, consider adoption to give one of these loving animals a forever home.
Every week, we give the spotlight to one animal, and this week, we head to Fall River where a sweet girl is recovering from a rough living situation in New Bedford.
Meet Melody. Melody is a tiny Cane Corse/Boxer mix currently residing at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River.
She is about 4 years old and was one of the 20 dogs rescued from a cramped apartment in New Bedford. Melody and her siblings were kept in the attic and arrived at the shelter in very rough shape.
“Understandably so, Melody is a nervous girl at first that takes some time to warm up, but when she does, she is all wiggles,” said the shelter.

Melody is convinced that she is a lap dog and loves to have her face near yours to give kisses whenever possible.
Her forever home will need to help her deal with the trauma of her previous living situation and the shelter recommends no cats in the home.
Melody’s new family must own their home and a fenced-in yard is preferred.
Does Melody sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Forever Paws online and download an adoption application. Once complete, email it to fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to 508-677-9175.
Melody cannot wait to meet you.
