Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! The mission continues to get as many animals on the SouthCoast adopted as possible.

Hundreds of animals are anxiously waiting to go home for good. With the help of local shelters, we share the stories of these wonderful animals in hopes of getting the attention of the perfect families.

This week, a young dog at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River gets the spotlight.

Meet Marigold. She's half chihuahua, half pug and full-on diva.

"Marigold is a princess and she knows it," the shelter said. "She's sassy, full of attitude, and is fully aware that she deserves to be treated like the precious gem that she is."

At first, Marigold is cautious, but once she knows you, her attitude dissolves and she will demand love and affection.

Marigold is great with other dogs and even great with cats. Kids, however, are not her favorite.

While she has lots of energy, her little legs won't be able to handle a hike, but she enjoys long walks on the beach or casual strolls in the park.

The shelter was adamant about one particular thing: Do not pick up Marigold.

"By her royal decree, do not pick her up. She will scream," the shelter said. "She will make sure that everyone knows what you did. She will make sure that you feel bad, your family feels bad, and your descendants feel bad for generations to come."

Marigold is certainly a character that will leave a lasting impression. Does she sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Forever Paws Animal Shelter and schedule a play date today.

Marigold cannot wait to meet you.
