Fall River Dog Needs a Special Family After Extensive Treatment [WET NOSE WEDNESDAY]
Happy Wet Nose Wednesday!
Wednesdays are the best days because we get to talk about animals. Specifically, the ones that need homes.
Hundreds of animals are up for adoption on the SouthCoast, and thanks to local shelters, they get a fighting chance.
Every week, we give the spotlight to one animal that is up for adoption, and this week, we head to Fall River where a special dog is hoping to brighten your day.
Meet Luna. Luna is a 3-year-old Doberman Pinscher currently residing at Forever Paws Animal Shelter. She is a sweet girl who loves to give kisses and nudge people’s hands for pets.
“She’s an extroverted angel that loves strangers,” said the shelter. “She is so incredibly smart, knows many cues, and doesn’t walk too badly on a leash for a 95-pound dog.”
Luna loves her toys, loves playtime, and loves to snuggle. She’ll also bombard you with kisses at any time.
Luna recently went through a tough time. She underwent extensive treatment for an autoimmune disease that may or may not reoccur later on in life. She may also be placed on medication for the rest of her life. She’s doing great, but she needs a home that will stick beside her throughout her health journey.
The shelter said Luna would do best as the only animal in the home. She is very shy around other dogs. Children should be at least 12 years of age
