Happy Wet Nose Wednesday, my favorite day of the week because it's the day dedicated to animals in need.

There are hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast patiently waiting for forever homes and it is our mission to get them adopted. Thanks to the help of local shelters, we share their stories.

Every week, one lucky animal gets the spotlight, and this week we head to Fall River where a giant cuddle monster is waiting to give you a hug.

Meet Greta Bunburg. Greta is a young, Flemish giant residing at Forever Paws Animal Shelter, and she is known for being super affectionate and friendly.

"She's a rabbit the size of a dog," the shelter said. "Honestly, what more could you ask for?"

Check out those ears. They are almost as big as her body!

Greta loves to cuddle. She's very soft, and would be the perfect addition to any home looking for a new best friend.

Greta is not spayed, but the shelter is hoping to track down a veterinarian that will help spay and neuter its rabbits.

Does Greta sound like a good fit for you and your family? Visit Forever Paws Animal Shelter, like it on Facebook, and schedule a play date today.

Greta cannot wait to meet you.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
