Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's talk animals.

Thanks to the hard work of SouthCoast shelters, there are hundreds of animals getting support until they find their forever families.

It is our mission to find those families for these loveable pets.

This week, we give the spotlight to a New Bedford dog that is hoping to share his love of toys with you.

Meet Chumbawumba. Chumbawumba is a 2-year-old cattle dog mix currently residing at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River.

Weighing in at 55 pounds, this big boy who is one of the most easy-going dogs at the shelter.

"He's not bothered by much and will choose sitting in the sunshine over almost anything," said the shelter.

Toys bring Chumbawumba a lot of joy. Tennis balls are his favorite, but he'll take any.

He does well with other dogs, even cats, and would do well with children ten years of age and older.

"He's guarded and a little unsure at first, but once he warms up, he's so easy-going," said the shelter.

Once his collar comes off, he is in full zoomie mode. His future family needs to be ready for lots of play time.

Does Chumbawumba sound like a good fit for you and  your family? Contact Forever Paws online, fill out an adoption form, and schedule a play date asap.

Chumbawumba cannot wait to play with you.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
