Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! Let's find another loving animal the perfect home.

There are hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast patiently waiting for forever homes, and with the help of local shelters, we share their stories.

This week, we head to Fall River where a senior pit bull is hoping to steal your heart.

Meet Amos, a 10-year-old American pit bull terrier residing at Forever Paws Animal Shelter.

"He's a bit slower and less energetic than he probably was in his prime and he's just looking for someone he can snuggle up on the couch with and watch the days go by," the shelter said.

Amos is incredibly gentle and friendly, and his tail is constantly wagging.

Even in his mature age, he still enjoys his toys but prefers the attention of his favorite humans.

"He's a healthy older guy whose only medical issue seems to be a skin tag above his eye," the shelter said. "It can bother him occasionally but for the most part, we're not even sure if he knows that it exists."

The shelter recommends a forever home with no cats, female dogs only, and children over 12. You also must own your own home.

Does Amos sound like a good fit for you and your family? Visit Forever Paws online and click "Adopt" to download the application. Once complete, email the application to the shelter at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to 508-677-9175.

Amos cannot wait to meet you.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
