Westport Police Remember Crash Victim Who Was Always Willing to Help
A Westport man who died in a Tiverton motorcycle crash is being remembered for his generosity.
Michael Lees Jr., 27, owner of Lees Landscaping & Excavation, was killed on Route 24 North on Sunday, June 2, 2024, when his Harley Davidson and another vehicle made contact.
Amid the outpouring of memories from the community, the Westport Police Department is weighing in with a special message, highlighting Lees' contributions to the community.
The Westport Police Department is deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Michael Lees Jr. Mike generously donated his time and equipment to complete the granite steps for the Law Enforcement Memorial at our police station when he learned help was needed. A fellow resident described Mike as '...a true Westport native always willing to help his community.' We extend our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to Mike Lees' family and friends.
