Westport Man Arrested for ‘Upskirting’ at Dartmouth Walmart
DARTMOUTH —Dartmouth Police have arrested a Westport man for “upskirting” at Walmart.
On Friday, Dartmouth Police arrested 30-year-old Craig Tavares of 52 Davis Road, Westport, after receiving a complaint that Tavares was inside the Walmart at 506 State Road, utilizing his cell phone to attempt to photograph or video under the skirt of a female patron.
After Tavares was located, and an investigation was conducted, Tavares was subsequently arrested and charged with photographing, videotaping or electronically surveilling a partially nude or nude person, or the sexual or other intimate parts of a person around the person's clothing, commonly known as “upskirting.”
