WESTPORT (WBSM) — Westport officials are investigating after a weekend fire involving a house and two vehicles on Forge Road.

After arriving at the scene, firefighters found two motor vehicles fully involved with flames spreading to the home’s exterior.

Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames, resulting in very minimal damage to the interior.

According to reports, the fire was first spotted by a neighbor. The neighbor alerted the residents, who were sleeping.

All residents and pets were safely removed from the home and there were no injuries.

Investigations by the Westport police and fire departments and troopers from the Mass State Police Fire Investigation Unit determined that the fire was not suspicious.

Wareham Brush Fire 4-20-2023

On April 20, 2023, the Wareham Fire Department responded to a brush fire in the area of Agawam Road and was able to hold the fire to just over two acres before fully extinguishing it.
