PSA to all parents: Make sure your kids don't have access to Amazon.

Westport mother Jessica Nunes kicked off a week from hell when she discovered her 5-year-old daughter, Lila, had purchased almost $4,000 worth of toys and boots on Amazon without her permission.

Talk about a shopaholic.

But wait, there's more.

As wild as this story is, this wasn't the first time this has happened to Nunes.

On March 28, Nunes received an email alerting her to some shipping confirmations from Amazon. At first she was confused, since she hadn't recently ordered anything, Then, her jaw dropped once she realized her daughter had purchased not one, not two, but 10 Razor youth motorbikes estimated at around $380 each.

The Amazon order also included one Power Wheels Jeep Wrangler at about $300 and 10 pairs of cowgirl boots at $60 each. Coincidentally, they were Nunes' size.

The total: $3,179.

Just when Nunes thought it couldn't get any worse, she realized that some of the items had a no-return policy agreed to at purchase. Nunes got her money back for most of the toys and the boots, but was left with a hefty $1,600 charge.

To be safe, Nunes has gotten into the habit of disabling her card from her tablet and phone in case her daughter wanted to play games on it, but she forgot to deactivate it this last time, leaving Lila wide open to partake in a major spending spree.

"This has happened once before, right around Christmas time," Nunes confessed. "She had ordered herself two Kindles and two keyboards to go with it — one for herself and one for her brother."

Even the pre-checkout cart is no match for little Lila as Nunes has found thousands of dollars' worth of items her daughter added.

This is a lesson for Nunes and a reminder for all other parents out there who allow their children access to electronic devices that may have bank account information on them.

While Nunes is out at least a grand, it could have been worse.

At least she has a killer story to tell. And some boots in her size, if she wants them.
