West Nile Mosquito Trapped In Acushnet

A mosquito carrying the west nile virus was trapped in Acushnet. The Bristol County Mosqutio Control Project's Jennifer Dacey says this type of mosquito is the least dangerous kind but none the less spraying was condicted over night within a three mile radius of Lake Street and Rt.105 in Acushnet. They will be spraying again early Friday morning from 2 am to sunrise. Dacey says its the first report of such a mosquito this year in the town but residents should still take pre cautions when going out after dusk.
