Volunteer as a Coat Sorter for Warm Hearts Burlington Coat Drive
The following is from United Way of Greater New Bedford. Find more volunteer opportunities using VolunteerSouthCoast.org.
Description
Not everyone has a warm winter coat. United Way of Greater Fall River (UWGFR) partners each winter with Burlington Coat Factory to sponsor the Warm Coats ~Warm Hearts Burlington Coat Drive. Last year, between November and January, we collected 450 coats. We're hoping to surpass that goal this year. We are also collecting warm weather accessories.
UWGFR Staff picks up the coats from Burlington each week, but we need volunteer help to sort, stack, and distribute coats to our agency partners. If you can read tag labels and make neat piles, this volunteer opportunity is for you! If you have transportation, we may ask you to bring sorted coats to a nearby agency.
