NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police are investigating after vandals have targeted the Roosevelt Middle School in the city's South End.

Arthur Motta, Community and Public Affairs Manager for New Bedford Public Schools, says police responded to a security alarm at Roosevelt Middle School Wednesday at 3:18 a.m. Upon arrival, police found seven window screens had been pulled and bent from windows on the Brock Avenue, Cleveland, Frederick, and Rodney Street sides of the building. One window had been shattered with a piece of cement.

A police report states "Nothing appeared to be missing and no one was found."

The school department and New Bedford Police are reviewing interior security video footage from the school.
