Unlicensed Driver in Unregistered Car Found with Cocaine in New Bedford
NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police have arrested a city man after he was found with cocaine while driving an unregistered car without a license.
Police were in the area of 15 Bullard street at around 7:16 p.m. Sunday when they spotted the unregistered and uninsured vehicle. Police conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver, Bon Dang, 50, of New Bedford, was driving with a suspended license. A search of the vehicle turned up cocaine.
Dang was arrested on charges of operating after license had been suspended, operating with a suspended registration, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, and possession of cocaine.
