Two Suspects Face Drug Charges In New Bedford

Members of the New Bedford Police Department's Gang Unit seized more than 100 grams of cocaine and arrested two suspects this week following a short motor vehicle chase.

According to a press release, Detectives made the vehicle stop Thursday at County and Fair streets after spotting a motor vehicle infraction.

Arrested were 25-year old John Preston Perry and 26-year old Devonte Hunt, both of New Bedford.

Both were charged with drug trafficking and possession, while Perry was charged with failure to stop.

The suspects were scheduled for arraignment in New Bedford District Court.
