
Two Stabbings Under Investigation in New Bedford’s South End
NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police are investigating two separate stabbings in the South End Monday night.
Police were called to the area of David and Cleveland Streets at 9:05 p.m. Monday for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police found a male victim suffering from a stab wound. The unidentified male was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Over an hour later, at 10:37 p.m., police responded to a report of a second stabbing several blocks away at Brock Avenue and Ruth Street. At the scene, police found a male suffering from a stab wound. That man was also taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made in either stabbing.
Police do not believe the two stabbings are related.
