The season is reportedly over for two major players on the New England Patriots.

The "Boston Herald" cites a source as saying a Monday MRI confirmed running back Steven Ridley tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee during Sunday's win against the Buffalo Bills.

A date for surgery has not been set.  Ridley had 94 carries for 340 yards this season.

Reports also indicate linebacker and defensive captain Jerod Mayo is out for the remainder of the season also due to a knee injury.
