
Two Reports of Gunshots in New Bedford Sunday and Monday
NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police are investigating two separate reports of shots fired.
Police were first called to 23 Bentley Street in the Near North End just before 4 a.m. on Sunday after ShotSpotter was activated by a possible single gunshot. Officers at the scene could not find any evidence of a shot having been fired.
Early Monday morning, at approximately 1:43 a.m., police responded to the area of 97 Parker Street for a similar report where ShotSpotter was activated. Again, officers did not find any evidence of a shooting.
Both incidents are under investigation.
