NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police say they have arrested two people following an investigation into a breaking and entering into a home in the West End of the city.

According to a press release, police say two credit cards were stolen from the home along with almost $5,000 worth of jewelry. Following an investigation, police arrested Michael Roach, 28, of 47 Carroll Street, New Bedford, and Alexis Wybraniec, 30, also of 47 Caroll Street.

Both Roach and Wybraniec were charged with multiple counts of receiving stolen property, larceny, and credit card offenses. Police say the stolen credit cards were allegedly used to make purchases while the stolen jewelry was pawned at different locations.

Police were able to recover most of the stolen items during the investigation.
