FREETOWN — Two people from New Bedford were killed a crash on Route 140 North in Freetown on Tuesday morning.

State police said both the 54-year-old male driver and his 70-year-old female passenger succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash, which took place at mile marker 10.6 at around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Their identities are not being disclosed until their next of kin are notified.
