Two Missile-Launch Crew Members Suspended In Drug Probe
Two nuclear missile launch crew members at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana are being investigated for illegal narcotics.
Pentagon officials said today the unnamed officers are both suspended from duty and no longer have access to classified information.
The development comes as Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel visited a missile wing in Wyoming to talk about the importance of U.S. nuclear deterrence.
The Air Force general in charge of land-based nuclear missiles was fired for misconduct last year after leading a security delegation to Moscow. (Metro Networks Inc.)
