Two Charged in Westport Car Breaks

WESTPORT — Two people are charged in connection to a series of car breaks in Westport this week.

Westport Police received multiple reports from car owners who claimed their cars had been broken into early Thursday morning. The reports came in from the area of Briggs Road, East Briggs Road, Gifford Road, and Osborn Street.

During the investigation, police arrested two people in connection to the break-ins.

Cody St. Pierre and Jeanna Disanti, both of Westport, have been charged with several counts of breaking and entering into motor vehicles for a felony, receiving stolen property, and resisting arrest. They face additional charges, as well.

Police say the couple was in possession of multiple bags containing stolen items. The items were recovered and returned to their owners.

Westport Police remind residents to ensure that their vehicles are always locked when unattended.
