Westport Police have arrested two men in connection to the missing art pieces taken from a local restaurant.

The break-in to Marguerite's Restaurant on Main Road took place August 15, where over $15,000 worth of art work known as "Sailors Valentines" that were on display were stolen.

Westport Detective Sgt. Antonio Cestodio tells WBSM News 22-year-old Tyler Arruda of Somerset, and 22-year-old Matthew Cordeiro of Fall River were arrested earlier this week.

Cestodio says Arruda is a former employee at Marguerite's, and may have had different motives for breaking in.

Both men are charged with breaking and entering during the nighttime for a felony, larceny over $250, and malicious damage to property.

Westport Police continue to ask for the public's help in locating the 11 Sailors Valentines which may have been sold or given to unsuspecting people.

The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Westport Detectives at 508-636-1122.
