Two Arrested in Cocaine Distribution Operation in New Bedford
NEW BEDFORD - Two people are arrested in New Bedford after police carry out a search warrant in their home.
At around 6 p.m. Wednesday night, New Bedford Police searched 75 Ellen Street, Apt. 2E, after an investigation into a cocaine distribution service being run out of the home. As a result of the search, police found a small amount of cocaine, digital scales, and packaging materials.
Police arrested Jose Figueroa, 52, of that address, on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, subsequent offense, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute in a school zone (Jacobs School).
Police also arrested another occupant of the home, Yariluz Segarra-Mendez, 35, on two outstanding warrants out of New Bedford District Court.
