NEW BEDFORD — Twelve people face a litany of drug-related charges following a city-wide narcotics sweep.

The arrests were made between 10:47 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. All defendants are New Bedford residents.

  • Marty Gross, 33, 138 Deane Street, New Bedford
    • Possession of a Class A drug (Fentanyl)
    • Conspiracy to violate drug laws
  • Jonathan Grizzard, 33, 7 North Orchard Street, Apt. 2, New Bedford
    • Possession of a Class E drug
    • Conspiracy to violate drug laws
  • Joseph Allen Moneiro Jr., 35, 162 Sawyer Street, Apt. 6, New Bedford
    • Distribution of a Class E drug
    • Possession with intent to distribute a Class E drug (Xanax)
    • Possession of a Class A drug
    • Conspiracy to violate drug laws
  •  Derrick R. McAfee, 41, 193 Hathaway Street, Apt. 1, New Bedford
    • Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
    • Possession of a Class B drug
  • Waleska Torres, 315 North Front Street, Apt. 3S, New Bedford
    • Distribution of a Class B drug
    • Conspiracy to violate drug laws
  • Joao B. Morais, 295 North Front Street, Apt. 1, New Bedford
    • Possession of a Class B drug

  • Miguel Angel Martinez, 40, 472 Cottage Street, New Bedford
    • Trafficking in more than 10 grams of Fentanyl
    • Trafficking in 18 grams or more of cocaine, less than 36 grams
    • Possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug (Suboxone)
  • David A. Hescock, 415 County Street, Apt. 106, New Bedford
    • Possession of a Class B drug
  • Alexandre J. Norte, 162 Portland Street, New Bedford
    • Possession of a Class A drug (Fentanyl)
