Tsarnaev Files Notice of Appeal in Boston Marathon Bombing Case
BOSTON (AP) _ Lawyers for convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have filed a notice of appeal.
The notice filed Friday with the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals does not give any grounds for appeal. Those will be spelled out at a future date.
A judge earlier this month denied Tsarnaev's bid for a new trial.
The 22-year-old Tsarnaev was convicted last year and sentenced to death in the bombings, which killed three people and injured more than 260 in April 2013.
