Local author Catherine McLaughlin of Dartmouth visits Townsquare Sunday this week to talk about her new novel, Blue Collars. It tells the story of a young girl growing up in a working-class family in New Bedford during the 50's and 60's. While her life seems carefree, a terrible secret haunts her childhood.  She must endure and survive in the face of betrayal. Author Catherine McLaughlin is a forty-year professor at UMass Dartmouth and Framingham State University, teaching English and Writing. Her book is published by Spinner Publications of New Bedford.
