Three teenage males are arrested after allegedly breaking into over a dozen storage units on Mt. Pleasant Street in New Bedford.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says North End officers responded to the Airport Mini-Storage before midnight Wednesday for an alarm activation. The owner told police he had seen three people running from the scene. A fence had been cut and 17 storage units had their locks cut off, but it appears the suspects did not have time to steal any property.

Officers saw a car leaving the cemetery across the street in a hurry, and stopped the vehicle. Inside were three males who fit the description of the suspects, along with a lug wrench, bolt cutters, and an open alcohol container.

Police arrested 19-year-old Kodie Lefevre and two 16-year-old males, all of North Dartmouth, and charged them with breaking and entering and possession of burglary tools. Lefevre faces an additional charge of procuring alcohol to minors.

All three males were arraigned Thursday morning in New Bedford District Court.
