NEW BEDFORD - Three New Bedford men were picked up by police in separate instances Tuesday, all for drug possession.

New Bedford police officers targeting street level narcotics sales arrested Manuel Sandoval, 18, at 6:21 p.m. after police found him in the area of Crapo and Fair streets in possession of 1.7 grams of heroin.

More than five hours later, at 11:30 p.m., at Stop & Save Gas on Ashley Boulevard, police arrested Jose Vazquez, 22, who was found to be in possession of 5.2 grams of fentanyl, 17 grams of cocaine and $140 in cash. Vazquez had a previous conviction for possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute in 2015.

Also arrested at Stop & Save was Ryan Parker, 32, who was found with a small amount of cocaine.

All three face numerous drug charges.
