Three Face Gun Charges In New Bedford

Three people have been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, after a police operation Thursday morning on Florence Street.

The suspects were arrested around 1am by members of the Police Department's Gang Unit while carrying out a search warrant.

Det. Captain Steven Vicente identified those arrested as 45 year old Genaro Jimenez, 24 year old Judith Jimenez and 21 year old Brian Flores, all of Florence Street.

Recovered by police was a Kimber 45-caliber semi-automatic firearm and more than 300 rounds of ammunition. Police say none of the suspects had a license to carry.
