The Red Sox bats went flat last night as they could only get 5 hits. The Angels beat Boston 3 to 0. John Lackey allowed two runs in seven innings and struck out nine. The Sox will be in Seattle tonight at 9:25pm.

The Sox will send three players to New York next week for the All Star Game. David Ortiz is the starting DH, Dustin Pedroia will see action at second and Clat Buckholz was chosen as a pitcher.

The Celtics have signed first-round draft pick Kelly Olynyk. The 7-foot forward from Gonzaga will probably see a lot of action in his rookie year after the departure of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce.

Here's the morning sports report.
