Teary-Eyed New Bedford Woman Arrested on Drug Charge in Dartmouth
DARTMOUTH - A New Bedford woman is arrested in Dartmouth after a reported disturbance.
Dartmouth Police responded to the Anytime Fitness Gym at 5D State Road at 12:18 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a disturbance between a man and a woman inside of a vehicle in the parking lot.
The vehicle had vacated the area before police arrived.
Soon after, police located the vehicle on Hawthorne Street. During the investigation, police located about 10 grams of crack cocaine, $500 in cash, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
As a result of the findings, police arrested Brittney Arsenault, 18, of New Bedford.
Arsenault is charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and assault and battery on a police officer.
