As part of the investigation in the chair throwing incident at New Bedford High School, the teacher who was in the classroom at the time, Joanne Maura, is being called into a meeting  at the Headmaster's office at the high school. The meeting which was scheduled for noon on Wednesday has been postponed because Ms. Maura called in sick.

WBSM News has obtained a copy of the letter sent to Ms. Maura by the Headmaster:

Dear Ms. Maura,

You are directed to attend an investigatory meeting in my office on April 9th, 2014 at 12 noon. I am investigating the incident involving the student Kemar Roselus which occurred in your class on March 24th, 2014. Specifically, you failed to perform your responsibilities as a teacher at New Bedford High School and properly inform administration of the nature, detail, and severity of the incident in a timely fashion. As this investigation may result in discipline up to and including termination from employment, you have the right to have union representation or legal representation present during the meeting.
