TAUNTON (WBSM) — Two people were seriously injured on September 4 when the motorcycle they were riding was involved in a crash with a pickup truck.

The crash happened around 4 p.m. at Rama Street and Hodges Avenue. Police said the operator, an 18-year-old from Attleboro, was taken to Morton Hospital and the 20-year-old passenger from Seekonk was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Both had serious injuries, according to police.

The driver of the Dodge pickup, a 60-year-old Taunton man, remained on the scene and was cooperative.

The investigation is ongoing.

This was the second serious motorcycle crash in Taunton this week. A 39-year-old city man died September 3 when his motorcycle crashed off Charles Colton Road. No other vehicles were involved.

Also on September 3, a 69-year-old man was seriously injured when his motorcycle was involved in a crash with a car in Carver, 19 miles east of Taunton.
