Taunton Man Sentenced in Dollar Tree Robbery
FALL RIVER — A Taunton man faces up to seven years in prison for robbing a Dollar Tree store in the city.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says Goldie Vorce, 47, of Taunton, entered the Taunton Dollar Tree store on June 5, 2018, and ordered the clerk to open the register while claiming that he had a knife in his possession. The clerk complied, with Vorce grabbing $68 and fleeing the store.
The incident was captured by surveillance cameras and Vorce was soon located by Taunton Police. Vorce agreed to speak with investigators and denied that he had a knife at the time of the incident.
On Monday, November 26, a Fall River Superior Court judge sentenced Vorce to a five to seven year state prison sentence.
