BOSTON — A Taunton man faces a federal charge in connection to a bank robbery.

Following his arrest on August 31, Philip Campanirio, 51, is charged in an Information with one count of bank robbery. Campanirio remains in federal custody.

According to court documents, on April 28, Campanirio robbed approximately $4,680 from a branch of the Citizens Bank in Allston. The robbery took place while Campanirio was on supervised release for a prior bank robbery.

If convicted, Campanirio faces up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000.
