Taunton Fatal Accident

A violent car crash yesterday afternoon in Taunton has left a Taunton man dead and landed another in the hospital with serious injuries. Police say 51-year-old Scott Cintron died in the crash. His passenger, 24-year-old Robert Scibilio, was flown to a Boston hospital with serious injuries. Witnesses tell the Taunton Daily Gazette that the Honda Civic was speeding down a hill when it jumped the sidewalk, went airborne and struck a utility pole on Hart Street. The impact tore the car in two and sent pieces scattering across neighborhood lawns. The crash remains under investigation.
