The first confirmed case of Zika has been confirmed in Rhode Island.

The Rhode Island Department of Health announced the first confirmed case of Zika virus in the state. The individual who tested positive, was a 60-year-old male who had recently traveled to Haiti, where there is an active mosquito-borne transmission of Zika.
