A Bridgewater man was sentenced to prison time after he pleaded guilty last week to armed carjacking and assault and battery charges relating to a 2019 stabbing in Taunton in which he fled in the victim's car.

Two men arrested Friday for a string of armed robberies in New Bedford are now facing additional charges in connection with other thefts.

Police are releasing limited details about a reported armed robbery just before midnight Wednesday in New Bedford.
