A judge refused to revoke the bail of a defendant in an ongoing homicide case after he allegedly beat his girlfriend and punched a police officer in the face.

Prosecutors say Kercado committed October murders in New Bedford to prevent retaliation for a previous murder, to which he is believed to be connected.

The man charged with New Bedford's seventh and eighth murders of the year has been ordered held without bail.
