Massachusetts has so many great local spots throughout the state to stop in for a bite whether its takeout or you're dining in. Some have made great names for themselves locally, but some tend to stay under the radar, but remain at the top of their game for what they serve. The latter of those is the hole-in-the-wall spots that we love to find. So, where would you go if you wanted to find the best hole-in-the-wall spot for fried chicken? As it turns out, we know where the best joint in Massachusetts is for that!

While chicken may not be the first thing that comes to mind when anyone thinks of Massachusetts, that doesn't mean that we don't have plenty of fantastic chicken joints throughout the state. There is plenty of varieties of that very chicken being served here as well, whether its through wings, sandwiches, chicken & waffles, etc. But it seems that we now know who serves the best fried chicken in all of the Massachusetts.

New Bedford has many options when it comes to chicken, but its newest fried chicken offering – inside a gas station – may be the tastiest yet.

Chicken Story is open at the corner of County and Linden streets in New Bedford. The restaurant specializes in Korean-style fried chicken, corndogs, boba and more.

It doesn't look like it should make sense, but it does. We reviewed the flavor combination.
