As New Bedford now leads the county with a rate of more than 365 average daily COVID cases over the past two weeks, city officials are urging residents to get the vaccine booster.

New Bedford is hosting several COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinics for city residents this week.

Because there has been no serious pushback from the community, I have to assume that most are comfortable with Chief Coderre's plan for closing Station 11.

This highly-charged debate has been politicized and that's never a good thing.
