New Bedford's Mercy Meals and More is holding its annual comedy show fundraiser on April 4 to benefit its work helping the homeless.

The nonprofit meals program was about ready to close its doors when a new team of volunteers took over the struggling operation two years ago.

Mercy Meals and More has been a mainstay in Downtown New Bedford, providing breakfast to the homeless and other services for more than 10 years.
