It was an interesting week for NBC broadcaster Bob Costas. He was in hot water after some comments he made on the 'gun culture'. He defended those comments on Fox News's 'O'Reilly Factor'.

Bob Costas is one of my favorite sports broadcasters, but what he said about a tragic murder suicide was out of bounds! The grieving needs its time and place and so do personal comments about gun control. The venue was inappropriate, the timing was too.

Most of us tune into 'Sunday Night Football' and expect to see one of the weekend's big games. What you don't expect is a lecture on gun control.
