Some mean spirited vandals broke into the headquarters of C.A.R.E, the Center for Animal Rescue and Education, on Hathaway Road in New Bedford.

Heartless thieves smashed the windows of C.A.R.E. animal shelter and ran off with the donation box that had cash and checks for the goodwill of the animals.
