NEW BEDFORD - A dangerousness hearing for the suspect in a fatal hit and run crash in Dartmouth last weekend has been postponed.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says the new date for Natalie Vieira's dangerousness hearing is March 14 at 2 p.m. in New Bedford District Court.

The former California man, whose legal name is Natalie, is transgender and identifies as a male.

Vieira's initial dangerousness hearing had been scheduled for March 8. He's being held in the Bristol County House of Correction until his hearing next week.

Vieira, 58, was arrested Tuesday, after police received a tip that led them to an autobody shop in Fall River, where Vieira was allegedly having repairs made to his vehicle received after it was damaged during the Saturday night crash that killed Stasha Lynn Faria, 33, of Westport.

Vieira is charged with leaving the scene of personal injury and death, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and operating an unregistered vehicle. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
